Bar/Bat Mitzvah
Judaism Your Way presents their successful and exciting Open Tent B'nai Mitzvah and Beyond program for young people ages 12 and up. The program is designed around three elements - study, spirituality and acts of loving-kindness - all under the gentle guidance of Rabbi Brian Field. Weekly gatherings over two semesters are crafted to capture the learning excitement found more often in summer camp settings than classrooms and engage youth as active participants in their own learning.
Along the way, students together with their families and Rabbi Brian, choose a "coming of age" ritual that is uniquely matched to each student and family. Some families have chosen traditional and contemporary Bar/ Bat Mitzvah services while others have designed other innovative approaches involving community service or in depth study of an area that interests the student most.
